Yajaira Hernandez Trejo of Salem graduated from the University of San Diego on May 26.

Hernandez Trejo earned a bachelor's degree in International Relations.

Hernandez-Trejo participated in the McNair Scholars program that prepares underrepresented and first-generation college students for master's degree and PhD programs and careers in higher education. She will be joining the Peace Corps.
