2012 Jul 10

Jasmine Chao of Las Vegas studied in China this summer. Chao expects to graduate in spring 2015.

The program provided a sophisticated introduction to Chinese civilization and politics. The three- week itinerary included Beijing, Xian, and other destinations, taking advantage of site tours and local academic experts above and beyond accompanying faculty-led discussions and presentations. Students had the opportunity to witness the changes that have been unfolding in China over the past twenty five years while at the same time appreciating the cultural foundation of the society produced over the course of more than two millennia.

The program took place from June 1 to 21.
