University of San Diego Student Brittany Saunderson of Chula Vista Studies in Paris

2012 Jul 10

Brittany Saunderson of Chula Vista studied in Paris this summer. Saunderson expects to graduate in spring 2013.

The program immersed students in Parisian history, tradition and culture. Students had the opportunity to experience the city's distinct personalities on each side of the Seine River --  the spacious boulevards and formal buildings of the Right Bank and the cultural and intellectual reputation of the Left Bank. Students visited both familiar landmarks and many of the city's enchanting nooks. Classes were offered in a variety disciplines and lecture materials were enhanced through excursions and site visits throughout the city.

The program took place from May 31 to June 29.

USD is ranked first in the nation for the percentage of undergraduate students studying abroad, according to the Institute of International Education's latest Open Doors Report. More than 71 percent of all USD undergraduate students study abroad.
