Sarah Al-Shammaa of San Diego Selected for Mortar Board at University of San Diego

Sarah Al-Shammaa, a student at the University of San Diego, was selected for Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.

Al-Shammaa of San Diego, is a business economics and finance double major. Al-Shammaa expects to graduate in 2014.

Al-Shammaa has received first honors in the School of Business Administration. She plans to become a chartered financial analyst or enroll in graduate school to get her MBA.

Mortar Board, founded in 1918, has more than 200 chapters across the country and chartered on the USD campus in the fall of 2000. After students are selected, they continue to serve the University and community through special projects.
