Miriam Abitbol Inducted Into Academic Honor Society

Miriam Abitbol, a student of Communication Studies at the University of San Diego, has been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the national acadmeic honor society in the communication discipline. Lambda Pi Eta recgonzies outstanding academic achievemtn among undergraduate students in communication (major or minor).

Lambda Pi Eta was establish in 1985 and is affiliated with the National Communication Associated headquarted in Washington D.C.

According to Lambda Pi Eta's constitution, the primary objective of the honor society is to recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement. Bradley Bond, the advisor of USD's chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, stated that the society also hopes to "stimulate interesting in the filed of communciation, provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communiction, promote and econruage professional development, establish and maintain close relationships and mutual understanding between faculty and students, assist students in exploring options for graduate education."

Miriam Abitbol of San Diego, was inducted into the honor society given their class standing, declared Communication Studies major or minor, and outstanding academic record at USD.
