Laguna Hills Student Earns Master's Degree from the University of San Diego

Kimberly Washington of Laguna Hills graduated May 23 from the University of San Diego with a master's degree in special education.

Originally from Rancho Cucamonga, she holds a bachelor's degree in Dance and Liberal Studies from the University of California, Riverside.

She worked as an Academic Coach at High Tech High International and High Tech Elementary Chula Vista in San Diego. Currently, she is seeking employment in the Orange County area in hopes of becoming an Educational Specialist.

Washington became a member of the Screen Actors Guild at the age of seven and remains an active member. She danced for 20 years and was a member of Dynamix Dance Academy, a professional hip hop team which toured across southern California (Serious Effect), and was captain of the dance team at UC Riverside.

Her parents are Deborah and Phillip Washington.
