Kennedy Avery of Sioux City Selected for Mortar Board at University of San Diego

Kennedy Avery, a student at the University of San Diego, was selected for Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.

Avery of Sioux City, is majoring in History and Political Science. Avery expects to graduate in May 2018.

Avery hopes to pursue a career in the news media.

Mortar Board, founded in 1918, has more than 200 chapters across the country and chartered on the USD campus in the fall of 2000. After students are selected, they continue to serve the University and community through special projects.
