James Bennett of Santee graduated from the University of San Diego on May 25.

Bennett earned a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish. Bennett graduated summa cum laude. Bennett completed USD’s Honors Program that is designed to provide smart, passionate and eager students with challenges and opportunities that will allow them to achieve their intellectual goals. The program emphasizes teaching excellence, small seminar-style classes, and a core curriculum of innovative courses. Honors students have numerous opportunities for interaction with faculty, specialized course work, undergraduate research and focused academic advising.
