David Miller of Albuquerque Selected for Mortar Board at University of San Diego

David Miller, a student at the University of San Diego, was selected for Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.

Miller of Albuquerque, is an accounting major with an emphasis in finance. Miller expects to graduate in 2013. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 2007.

Miller plans to attend law school.

Mortar Board, founded in 1918, has more than 200 chapters across the country and chartered on the USD campus in the fall of 2000. After students are selected, they continue to serve the University and community through special projects.

The University of San Diego is a Catholic institution of higher learning chartered in 1949; the school enrolls some 7,800 undergraduate and graduate students and is known for its commitment to teaching, the liberal arts, the formation of values and community service.
