Daniela Conde of Solana Beach Continues in the McNair Scholars Program at the University of San Diego

Daniela Conde of Solana Beach (92075) is continuing in the McNair Scholars Program at the University of San Diego this fall. Funded through the U.S. Department of Education, the McNair Scholars Program identifies high-achieving University of San Diego undergraduate first-generation and underrepresented students and prepares them for master's degree and PhD programs.

Conde is majoring in Sociology and plans to graduate in May 2015.

With the goal of creating a diverse faculty in educational institutions across the country, the McNair Scholars Program provides research and scholarly experiences, a summer internship, and opportunities for students to present at national conferences, in order to prepare them for graduate-level work.
